•Must not be expired
•Must include a photo and the voter’s name (substantially matching the poll list)
Note: Unexpired IDs with a former address are acceptable if the current address is in the poll book.

  • Absentee Voting: Request and vote by mail using Form 11-A. The deadline is seven days before Election Day. Ballots must be postmarked by Election Day and received within four days after. In-person delivery option available.
  • Military and Overseas Voters: Special provisions at MilitaryVotes.Ohio.gov.
  • Hospitalized Voters: Submit a request by 3 p.m. on Election Day for assistance. Options include delivery and return of ballots by board representatives or designated relatives.
  • Voters with Disabilities: Accessible absentee ballots are available using Form 11-G.
  • Early In-Person Voting: Begins the day after voter registration closes at county boards of elections or designated centers.
