Eligibility for Absentee Voting: Persons with employment conflicts, caregivers, jail detainees, those absent from their county, persons with disabilities, those 65+, military personnel and their families, and emergency hospital patients.
Requesting an Absentee Ballot: Contact your county voter registration office starting January 1 of the election year. Provide your name, date of birth, and last four digits of your Social Security Number.
Returning the Application: Submit by mail or in-person to your county voter registration office by 5:00 p.m. on the 11th day before the election.
Voting and Returning the Absentee Ballot: Return the marked ballot by mail or in person. Include Photo ID if delivering in person. Follow instructions for signing and witnessing.
Early Voting Periods for 2024 Primaries: May 28 – June 7; Runoffs: June 19 – June 21. Early voting centers are open 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (Closed weekends and state holidays).
