Photo ID required for in-person voting at the polls or Circuit Clerk’s Office.
Acceptable forms of ID include:
•Mississippi Voter Identification Card
•Driver’s license
•U.S. passport
•Government-issued photo ID
•Tribal photo ID
•Student photo ID issued by a college, university, or community college in Mississippi
Absentee voters in person at the Circuit Clerk’s Office also need to show photo ID.
Absentee voters by mail, email, or fax, including overseas and uniformed military, do not need to show photo ID.

•Absentee voting for those unable to vote in person on Election Day.
•Most absentee voters must appear in person before the Circuit Clerk or Municipal Clerk.
•Some categories can request a mailed ballot, like those required to work or out of town on Election Day.
•Eligible voters: 65 or older, with a permanent/temporary physical disability, or temporarily residing outside their county.
•UOCAVA voters (military, overseas citizens) register and request absentee ballot by FPCA.
•Deadline: 10 days before the election for UOCAVA voters.
•Once cast, absentee ballots are final.
•No in-person voting on Election Day after casting an absentee ballot, but affidavit ballot option available.
•Contact Circuit or Municipal Clerk’s Office within 45 days of the election until noon on the Saturday before.
