•Non-driver ID card from NH DMV or another state’s motor vehicle agency
•NH DMV-issued photo ID card for voting purposes only
•United States armed services ID card
•United States passport or pass card
•NH student ID card issued by approved institutions
•Other legitimate photo ID approved by election officials
•Verification by election officials
•Student ID cards must be issued by approved schools and not expired by more than 5 years
•Voters without approved photo ID can vote by affidavit or obtain a free voting-specific ID from NH DMV with a voucher
•Post-election verification may be required if voting without approved photo ID

•Request an Absentee Ballot Application from your local clerk and fill out the appropriate affidavit form
•Register by mail if not already registered to vote
•Deadlines for returning completed absentee ballots: by mail – 5:00 p.m. on election day, in person – by 5:00 p.m. the day before the election
